I'm so glad you could stop by. This is my personal blog of daily life and my journey through life. You will find a strong emphasis on family and friends as well as finding my ancestors through genealogy. Unlike my other blogs this blog is more of a catch-all so any topic is fair game.

November and March

As long as I can remember I have always disliked the months of November and March.  Both are weather transition months aka 61 days of icky weather.  The weather tends to be damp, dull, grey and lack luster.  There's mud, muck, sloppy walking and driving conditions, and fog.  Outdoor photo opportunities are few and far between.  There's no holidays to look forward to other than March break for school age children but no holidays in November.  There's Remembrance Day on November 11th, as somber of a day as is the entire month.  There's St. Patrick's Day on March 17th that even copious amounts of green beer can't make March seem cheerier.  The only thing going for either month is I tend to make a lot of homemade soups and stews served with fresh home baked breads.
