I'm so glad you could stop by. This is my personal blog of daily life and my journey through life. You will find a strong emphasis on family and friends as well as finding my ancestors through genealogy. Unlike my other blogs this blog is more of a catch-all so any topic is fair game.

Water Rejuvenates
The hunt camp cabin backs onto a small, peaceful Northern Ontario lake. Vacationing in a location on the water is lovely but better still is being able to live on water front property year round as we do. Still if our friend ever decides to sell the cabin we would be first in line to purchase. Not that the opportunity is likely to arise as these types of properties tend to be passed down through the family. There is just something about living on the water that has a calming effect on the soul. Oh sure sometimes the water is rough due to storms but even then there is beauty. Sitting at the water's edge on a sunny day letting the wind blow through your hair while the water sparkles as it dances is a pleasant way to spend the day.
If you don't live on the water take every opportunity you can to rejuvenate your body and soul by spending a few hours as often as possible sitting buy the nearest water source you can. Pack a lunch and sunscreen as well as a comfy folding chair. Then find a nice quiet spot where you can soak up all the benefits of the water. It's a good time to reflect and ponder Don't forget your digital camera! Enjoying the rejuvenating effects of being near the water is not just for nice weather either. Try visiting on a rainy day or during the winter with snow on the ground. You would be surprised at how much this inexpensive activity can do to make you feel wonderful.
