Mother's Day Flowers

Calla Lily
Calla Lily

My husband surprised me with a beautiful potted Calla Lily for Mother's Day.  It has long been a tradition here that rather than being gifted with flowers potted plants are preferred.  The gorgeous lilies will thrive indoors through the winter but will enjoy being outdoors in the nicer weather when danger of frost is gone.  Aren't they beautiful?

  1. I buy my Mother exotic tropical cactus plants (not the right name, I'm just not coming up with it at the moment) for Mother's Day and her birthday. Most of them have died since we moved to Barrie. I guess the extra snowbelt or two was more than they could handle.
