Looking back on 2009 it was a year filled with family and friends, an abundance of good food and fond memories. We welcomed a new little grandbaby into our lives, marveling at what a blessing grandchildren are! Like many we saw a few problems mainly plumbing but we overcame them and life went on. We felt the effects of the recession and complained about our government's plans to tax us further yet compared to others our cup of blessings over flowed. Our garden flourished despite the unseasonably cold growing season. My tomato crop wasn't strickened with blight until quite late in the growing season even though blight was all around us. It was as if Mother Nature in her ultimate knowledge acknowledged the recession so provided a good excuse for us to stay home out of the cool, rainy weather yet when the weather should have been turning cold forcing us to turn the furnace on she gave us a break with a warmer than average fall. So as we said good-bye to 2009 and welcomed 2010 it was with joy in our hearts at the many blessings we shared over the year.
A new year is before us like a tabula rasa waiting for us to fill it day by day. I can't wait to see what blessings are in store for us in 2010!

I'm so glad you could stop by. This is my personal blog of daily life and my journey through life. You will find a strong emphasis on family and friends as well as finding my ancestors through genealogy. Unlike my other blogs this blog is more of a catch-all so any topic is fair game.
